BCTF 2018 that is! I don’t know if you’re like me but I plan and prepare for important events like the British Craft Trade Fair. However, when my preparation is going according to plan I always think that’s a licence to squeeze something else in, so I’m always busy………and I love it! All my invites have been sent, my literature is printed and packed ready, I’ve invested in some great professional lighting for this and future events and, rather importantly, my jewellery is all ready for the show. Handmade with love

I’ll be honest with you – hearts have never really been my jewellery of choice. If you are getting to know me and my work, you’ll know that it’s nature and my imagination that influence my designs. But my mom used to wear a heart all the time. I remember her wearing it for special occasions when I was young but as time went on, it was a permanent fixture around her neck. When we lost her last year I decided to design a couple. I now make a lovely heart with smooth curves of highly polished silver and a little flower attached to the chain, in tribute to my mom. Planning

Fail to plan, and you plan to fail!! I get it. And, since starting my own business I have worked hard to amend my procrastinating ways. But really, these first couple of months of 2018 have involved so much planning for the year – from researching and booking events through to writing a mini brochure for the trade shows I’m doing this year and lots more in between. Hmmm…..I just slipped that in there, but yes, I am doing a couple of trade shows for the first time this year, the first one being the British Craft Trade Show.
